Why we will remain positive in the autumnal puddles

This month, I thought a lot about our community and wondered why it was that they were all so dearly cool.  So, rather than do the guesswork, I set out to ask them some questions.  I didn’t interrogate them, nor did I put words into their mouths. Instead I simply allowed them to talk. What I noticed was that they were all extraordinarily positive. So much so that I decided to compile some of their simple tips, tricks, slips and golden nuggets into this post to help inspire us. After all, who would want to go slipping around in the autumn puddles without the positive mental attitude to get back up again? So in no particular order, here is what the wise owls of our community had to share about their positive outlook.

My thought processes always focuses on the positive of a situation. Negative thoughts stimulate negative energy so I always try and flip things to a positive. For example, focus on what you can do and not what you can’t do….:) (A fantastic CEO that provides the world with I.T and good I.T at that).

The easiest way to stay positive is to be grateful. Gratitude brings you to the present moment. It allows you to account for all you have been blessed with, even in trying times. The act of counting your blessings can help turn a negative situation around, or it can elevate a good situation even higher. The easiest way that I can consistently give gratitude is right before I eat my meal. I thank the sun for shining it’s energy upon the earth and I thank the earth for holding the nutrients and all the people and things that have enabled this meal to appear before me so that it can sustain me that much longer in this beautiful body and life I’ve been blessed to inhabit for this short squeeze of time in eternity. (A great spiritual healer that travels between NewYork, Barcelona and India).

Children, Bach, sublimating trauma through art, bhodiccita, imaginative sex and running in the mountains to the moonlight mile………(A very uplifting neurosurgeon and author).

For me, learning to be positive came with a lot of life experience. I’ve learned what gives me purpose, how to prioritise and to keep the right company. I surround myself with good company so I can’t be dragged down. I also think that having a passion for life is very important. If you really look for it you can find sexuality in everything you see. Right now I can see a bamboo blowing in the wind and it’s beautiful. It’s a good reminder to appreciate the flow in life. (A very special British lady who crossed our paths and touched our souls).

To simply observe the haters, the judges, the unfriendly, the unkind, the thieves, the envious and the unspiritual souls and not to let them influence your God given right to be happy. Realise that despite the low vibrations that exist on this earth, you have the power to love yourself enough to rise above it all with grace. To gracefully flow out of a troubled situation whilst baring a light within is what I would claim to be living a peaceful and positive life. Of course there’s also plenty of room to be grateful for life and the joy it brings. (A psychologist and writer).

It’s very important for me to keep fit, so doing Pilates, dancing, cycling and  walking (preferably in the countryside, within the forests and  around the mountains) . For my mind and soul, I have a ‘Happy Book’ which has a quote from somebody impressionable e.g.  a favourite is Nelson Mandela. I read one quote every morning, meditate for 5/10 mintes and then read my affirmations. It’s a book I’ve made that I add phrases to which are positive and connect me to God. (A very gregarious and hearty school teacher).

I just say a little thank you to the universe when I am grateful for someone or something. I don’t do it as regularly as I ought to but feel it is important to acknowledge the gifts life gives you. Sending light and love ??? (A lovable Marketing Manager that lives in London and likes to frequent our store.)

To connect with nature, be it the trees, the flora or the fauna. I always discover something different each time I’m out there with it and the pleasures of the different fragrances, colours, and magnitude of different creatures really lifts my mind, body and spirit. (A deep and soulful retired nurse).

Always making time to do the things you enjoy and take yourself on a date every week whether that’s going to an exhibition, shopping, a massage, a walk or tea with a friend. Make time for the small things and do nice things for yourself (A lovely artist and Barcelona expat).

An important part of my life is to remain grateful. I’m grateful for what I have, I’m grateful for being able to give and share and for having so much love in my life. (A teacher and humanitarian).

I like to keep positive in mind and body. Where my body is concerned, I look at photos of before and after loosing weight to remind myself why I don’t want to go back to my old weight. It’s a great motivational tool. Where my mind is concerned, I tend not to pay attention to toxic people, I don’t dwell on the past and I don’t pay attention to what other people think, if they care to judge me. I’m also very inspired by James Dean and what he has to say about life: forgive quickly, kiss slowly, love truly, laugh uncontrollably and never regret anything that makes you smile, (A very positive and happy Business Consultant).

After all of that, I realised that it wasn’t just me that saw gratitude as a very important high vibrational energy to nurture. So,  even in your trying times and your epochs of incredulity, I wish you faith in love, faith in life and that strong sense of gratitude we all have for free.

All the best and thank you for reading.
